Directly across the street from the House is A Christmas
Story Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the
film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Don’t forget to
visit the Gift Shop to purchase your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great
movie memorabilia.
Want a more unique experience? You can now stay overnight
next door at the Bumpus House or rent the Christmas Story House itself for overnight
stays, sleeping in Ralphie and Randy’s beds.
For the ultimate Christmas Story fan you can even rent the house
to hold your wedding ceremony, elopement or vowel renewal. This is for sure an
experience your guests will remember for a lifetime.
Spend the afternoon touring the house, museum, and gift shop

gracious and welcoming family-friendly atmosphere. During the filming the
upstairs of the building served as the location for the commissary, make-up and
wardrobe as well as a location for post-filming “meetings”.
All the Christmas Story locations and the Rowley Inn are
practicing safe social distancing and following CDC guidelines to keep their
patrons safe. Masks are required inside all of the Christmas Story-affiliated
buildings.
