Discover the International Women's Air & Space Museum
Our 10th stop on our 94
Days of Summer and Discovery Tour is to The International Women's Air &
Space Museum. Located inside Burke Lakefront Airport they welcome you to visit and
discover how women's air and space history is more than Amelia Earhart and
Sally Ride.
Their mission is to collect, preserve, and showcase the
history and culture of women in all areas of aviation & aerospace; educate
people of the world about their contributions; and inspire future generations
by bringing history to life.
Who would have known this piece of women in aerospace was
located right in here in Cleveland! They currently exhibits detailing the history
of women who have made an impact on air and space including the story of Jackie
Cochran’s “Bequine”, NASA astronaut Pam Melroy’s jacket and uniforms, the Sally
Ride postage stamp and details about Ameila Earhart and more.
Admission is free and they are open daily from 8am-8pm
giving you the opportunity to dive into history and learn more about some
amazing women’s achievements and contributions to air & space travel. They
also, take Covid-19 safety and prevention very seriously as you an read
