Come Play at the Cleveland Metro Parks
Our 14th stop on our 94
Days of Summer and Discovery Tour is to come out and play at the Cleveland Metro Parks. Choose from 18 park reservations spanning more than 23,000
acres. There is something for everyone
with over 100 trails, 8 golf courses, 5 swimming areas, more than 2,500 picnic
tables, 14 miles of Lakefront, 70-foot toboggan chutes and a Nationally
Acclaimed Zoo!
Hop on a bicycle, lace up your running shoes or take your
time strolling through any part of this scenic 60-mile long string of parks and
garden areas. The Cleveland Metroparks is a string of parks that virtually
surround the Cleveland area featuring beautiful rivers and streams, spectacular
waterfalls, horse and hiking trails, well-equipped picnic areas, nature
exhibits, and much more. The parks include the Cleveland Zoo and the Lake Erie
beach at Edgewater Park near Downtown, and they tie into the Cuyahoga Valley
National Park which we featured early on our things to do this summer countdown.
Cleveland Metro Parks also features several locations perfect for
wedding ceremonies and elopements. Check with the Cleveland Metro Parks Administration
for more information and permit requirements.
